Accounts and Contacts may be bulk imported together or separately as long as each contact is mapped to an Account name. Choose either Accounts or Contacts from the navigation bar to get to the Bulk Import Wizard.
Clicking the orange Bulk Import button at the top right of the page will open the Import Wizard.
The Import Wizard requires a clean CSV file (as mentioned above) to upload Account Data for Import. At minimum, the file MUST include an Account Name for import to be successful. The top row of the CSV indicates which field the data below will be mapped to.
Once the CSV is uploaded the Wizard requires each column of the file to be mapped to an existing GleanView field. Any Custom Fields needed must be created prior to Import.
When mapping fields it is important to make sure any Account Fields are mapped to Accounts and Contacts Fields are mapped to Contacts. Please note, data may be excluded if there is anything in the CSV that doesn't need to be imported, and Overwrite may be chosen if those fields already exists for the imported Accounts in GleanView.

The Wizard will then give options related to Duplicates & Assignment Rules for the Accounts and Contacts being imported.
- How will GleanView handle duplicate accounts that already exists in GleanView?
- If ‘Merge’ is selected NO new data from the sheet will import for the duplicate record
- Selecting Assignment Rules to assure the new Accounts are assigned to users correctly.
- Assigned users are imported using email addresses for the user (Not Names)
The fourth step in the Wizard reviews any Mapping Errors and allows the user to adjust the mapping before resuming. Any errors found in this step can affect the success of the import if not handled before confirming.
Once the Wizard has cleared out Mapping Errors a Review page will populate to confirm the Fields, Duplicate options, and Assignment Rules are correct before clicking Accept and Import.
Once the import is complete an email notification stating that Your Import Was Successful will be sent out.
