How to Setup Email Sending
- Enter the Domain Wizard
- Domain Wizard is found under Company Settings / Integrations / Domain Management Menu
Here you can choose to add a new domain or edit an existing one
SES Account Setup and Remove from Sandbox
** If you have not yet set up your account for Email Sending - you will see this box at the top of the Domain Management Screen
You must click the link and submit the request if you wish to activate your email sending account with GleanView
Please read the spam definition and guidelines as shown, then check the box and Submit.
Proceed to the next steps to edit the DNS records and wait up to 72 hours for the verification process to complete.
Once this step is complete, you will not need to set it up again
DNS setup (paste SPF and DKIM records to allow email sending)
The Domain that will be integrated for website tracking and email sending will be entered into the wizard here. The steps that follow allow GleanView to confirm your ownership of the domain.
- DNS Steps are in the 3rd Step of the wizard (Email Sending)
Getting the DNS Records
NOTE – The next step actually contains 2 Separate Steps (TXT Records and DKIM Records)
SES Account Setup Note
As soon as you signed up for GleanView, our team requested an Amazon Web Server SES Account for your use.
This can take a couple of hours to show up, and you can verify that it is completed here:
If these 3 fields are filled in with text and code – YES The SES Account has been setup but awaiting verification (This screen is Step 3 in the wizard)
Setting Up the TXT and DKIM Records
The following steps include modifying DNS values through your registrar. (This step requires someone with the authority to manage your website domain.)
Place your SPF records.
- Amazon has a great guide on how to do this here: https://docs.aws.amazon.com/ses/latest/DeveloperGuide/dns-txt-records.html
- Add or Append your SPF Record as described
TIP – Click the “Send Email Instructions” at the bottom of these pages in the wizard for an email copy of specific instructions. (In case you need to forward to someone)
Place your DKIM Records
Similar to the above TXT Records – If there are NO values in these boxes, your SES Account has not been set up.
Use the Send Instructions via Email if you need to forward.
Follow these instructions exactly or the verification process will fail.
It can take up to 72 hours for your DNS changes to propagate and be confirmed.
You will not be able to send any campaign emails using GleanView until your domain is verified.
Checking my Domain and DNS Verification

- If you have just completed the pasting steps, you may see this message
- If everything is Green Checkmarks - you are good to go!
- If there are any errors, the icon will inform you what needs to be fixed, then you can re-verify.
