Overview
This document provides instructions for preparing a CSV file of your product catalog for Bulk Import into GleanQuote.
What You Can Import
Here's what to include in your CSV import:
- Product/service details (Name, Model, Price, etc.)
- Custom fields (as separate columns)
- Sales tips and cross/upsell/downsell items
- Image/media URLs (must be public links)
- Option sets and tags
- Pricing/billing settings
What You Can’t Import
The following information must be configured manually within GleanQuote:
- Bundled products
- Product options (you can assign option sets by name via bulk import)
- Volume pricing, formula pricing, % of total or conditional pricing
Prepare Your Spreadsheet
Create columns on your spreadsheet for each field that applies based on your product data. Model Number, Product Name, Price, and Supplier are required fields*
Custom Fields
If you need to add columns for fields that are not Standard within GleanQuote, you will need to create the custom fields in GQ before importing your CSV spreadsheet.
Below is a complete list of standard product fields in GleanQuote.
Standard Fields and Instructions for Use

Model Number*
A unique model number or ID number related to this product.
Field Type: Text Field -
Product Name*
The name of the product as you'd want it to appear on a quote or proposal.

The name of the vendor that the product is purchased from.

The standard list price of the product.

One-Time or recurring intervals (e.g., Monthly, Yearly).

Default length for recurring billing.

Cost to acquire the product.
