Send Proposals in any Language:
You can create and send proposals in any language with GleanQuote. Your proposal will not be automatically translated, but you can type the content of your proposal in any language and it will be what is displayed exactly as you type it.
There are certain labels on proposals, quote tables, and the proposal viewer that you will need to localize to your proposal language. You can complete these customizations and save the proposal or proposal element as a template for reuse.
Permission Levels:
Template Edit Permissions will allow the user to edit any of the headers and field titles inside the template itself. If you are using Multi-Language - you should have a separate template for each language and not switch per proposal.
To Edit Product Language (or change currency) you will need product level editing permissions.
In order to edit the translated language in the Proposal Viewer and the Email Notifications, you will need to have Admin Access and go to Company Settings / Language (Shown at the end of this article)
Product Information that Needs to be Localized: (Requires Product Editing Permissions)
You can enter product information (name, description, etc) in any language. Product information on the quote will be displayed exactly as you type it.
Proposal Elements that Need to be Localized: (Requires Template Editing Permissions)
You can display your own translations for the labels on the fields for the Signature element by editing the Display As fields in the settings for the Signature element.
Quote Table Labels that Need to be Localized:
You can localize every quote table label to your language by editing the Display As for the labels in the Quote Settings.
GleanSpace Labels that Need to be Localized:
(Requires Admin Level permission and accessed through Company Settings)
GleanSpace is the web page your customers see when you send them a proposal. We have translated the elements on this page into English, Dutch, French, German, Italian, Portuguese and Spanish - but you can also translate the labels into any other language in the Company Settings/Customization/Language section. Create a new language in the drop down by clicking the orange Create New Language button and enter a name for the new language.
You should see the new language in the drop down list with a pencil button and trash icon beside it. You can edit the name or delete the language from the drop down using these icons.
In order to enter your own translations for this new language, you can click the pencil icon in the upper right corner of the Proposal View widget (next to the eyeball). This allows you to edit all of the labels.
Clicking the eyeball icon allows you to preview these labels in GleanSpace as your customer will see them.
Proposal Notification Emails that Need to be Localized:
In the same section as the you customized the proposal reader language, you can also translate the default email notification templates that are sent to your customers when you send them a proposal.
You can click the pencil icon to enter your own translations for the new language you created and also preview them by clicking the eyeball icon.
The Notification Email is the initial email that is sent to your customer when you first send them a proposal. The Reminder email is the email that is sent to your customer to remind them to sign a proposal - it is the same as the Notification email with the exception of the added text to the subject line and the body. The Completion email is the email that is sent to your customer when all parties have signed the proposal. It is also the same as the initial Notification email with the exception of some added text to the subject line and body.
All new proposals sent will have the GleanSpace language set to your default company language that you select in this section.
If you want to also send proposals in languages other than the default company language, then you will need to check the Allow Multi- Language check box. This unlocks the Language selection the GleanSpace language setting for templates and proposals and also unlocks the language setting in Proposal Settings for Notification Emails:
To change the language of GleanSpace for a proposal or template, click GleanSpace on the proposal editor and then click Settings in GleanSpace:
If you have the Allow Multi-Language box checked in Company Settings, then you will be able to choose a different language for the GleanSpace of the template or proposal. Any GleanSpace for a proposal created from a template will automatically inherit the language of the GleanSpace of the template.
To change the language of the email notifications sent to customers, edit the Proposal Settings and scroll to the notification language section and select the desired language:
