Overview
The Pipedrive integration allows GleanQuote users to:
- Create proposals from Pipedrive person or deal records
- Sync company, deal, and contact data from Pipedrive to GleanQuote
- Sync proposal status and product information from GleanQuote back to Pipedrive
This integration ensures that sales teams can generate accurate, up-to-date quotes without leaving their CRM.
Connecting GleanQuote to Pipedrive
To set up the integration:
- Go to your GleanQuote account and navigate to Account Settings Integrations.
- Click Enable on the Pipedrive integration card.
- You will be redirected to Pipedrive to log in and authorize access for GleanQuote.
- After authentication, you will be redirected back to GleanQuote, and the integration will be active.
Once connected, you can begin creating proposals from Pipedrive and syncing data between the platforms.
Pipedrive Settings and Data Sync
The integration automatically pulls in Pipedrive data and pushes updates back once a proposal is created.
Data Pulled from Pipedrive to GleanQuote
- Contact Information (Name, Email, Phone)
- Company/Organization Name
- Deal Title
- Deal Value
- Associated Notes and Custom Fields (if mapped)
Data Pushed from GleanQuote to Pipedrive
- Proposal Name
- Proposal Status (e.g., Sent, Viewed, Signed)
- Proposal Total
- Product Line Items (as a note in the Pipedrive deal)
The integration helps keep both platforms updated with the latest activity, reducing double data entry and misalignment between sales and quoting.
Field Mapping
The following default field mappings are included:
Pipedrive Field | GleanQuote Field |
---|---|
Deal Title | Proposal Name |
Person Name | Contact Name |
Contact Email | |
Phone | Contact Phone |
Organization Name | Company Name |
Deal Value | Proposal Total |
If you have custom fields in Pipedrive that you'd like to sync with GleanQuote, these can be configured within the integration settings.
Sync Behavior and Limitations
- Data from Pipedrive is pulled into GleanQuote when a proposal is created from a person or deal record.
- Proposals are always associated with a person and a company in GleanQuote. If a deal has no associated person, GleanQuote will prompt you to select or create one.
- The contact and company must exist in GleanQuote to allow editing of synced fields. Otherwise, they are locked as read-only.
- Proposal status updates (e.g., Viewed, Signed) automatically sync back to the Pipedrive deal and appear as activities or notes.
- Product data is synced from the proposal to Pipedrive as a structured note.
The sync is not real-time but occurs during the creation of the proposal and when certain events (like sending or signing) occur. This ensures a reliable snapshot of activity without excessive API calls.
Creating a Proposal from a Pipedrive Record
You can create proposals in GleanQuote from either a deal or a person record in Pipedrive. Here's how:
From a Deal Record
- In Pipedrive, navigate to a deal record.
- Click the GleanQuote app panel (this appears after the integration is connected).
- Click the Create Proposal button.
- This will launch the GleanQuote proposal builder with information pulled from the Pipedrive deal and associated person/company.
From a Person Record
- In Pipedrive, go to a person record.
- Open the GleanQuote app panel.
- Click Create Proposal.
- The proposal will be created in GleanQuote using the person and their company data.
Proposals created from either record type will appear in GleanQuote under the Proposals section. You can continue editing, customizing, and sending the proposal from there.
