Customer Choice is a set of features that allow you to give your customers the ability to digitally select optional or multiple choice items and also specify Quantity of items on quote tables on the proposal viewer.
INTRO VIDEO:
OPTIONAL ITEMS:
You can make items optional on a quote table by clicking the three dot menu at the right side of a line item row on the quote editor and select "Make Optional".
Once you make an item optional, a checkbox will display in front of the item's name on the quote editor and the three dot menu will change from Make Optional to Undo Optional in case you want to change the item to no longer be optional.
Optional items that are not selected are grayed out and the totals for those items are not included in the quote totals.
You can preselect optional items by checking the box in the quote editor. The customer will see this items is selected on the proposal viewer and will be able to unselect it if they do not wish to purchase it. This is a good way to suggest add-ons.
Here is how optional items display on the proposal viewer to your customer. Selected items display a green checkbox that is filled and unselected items display on orange checkbox and the line item total for the unselected items has a dash. The customer can select/unselect these items as many times as they want before they complete the proposal. Once the proposal is completed (signed), the selections are locked in.
SELECTING THE CONTACT RESPONSIBLE FOR SELECTING OPTIONAL, MULTIPLE CHOICE AND QTY:
If you only have one contact selected for the signature block on the proposal, that contact is automatically selected to be responsible for selecting optional, multiple choice and Qty items on the quote. This can be seen in the proposal settings. You can change this automatic selection by clicking the drop down and selecting another contact.
OPTIONAL SECTIONS:
You can make entire sections of the quote table optional. This can be done by clicking the three dot menu on the right side of the section row and select "Make Optional"
Like line items, if you make an entire section optional, a checkbox displays in front of the section name and the three dot menu changes from "Make Optional" to "Undo Optional".
Also, similar to optional line items, you can pre-select sections. The display of optional sections to the customer is the same as the display of optional line items - green filled check boxes if the section is selected and orange unfilled checkboxes if the section is not selected. Unselected sections are grayed out and the totals of the section are not counted in the quote totals.
OPTIONAL QUOTE TABLES:
You can make an entire quote table optional also. This can be done by turning the toggle on "Make Quote Table Optional" in the settings for that quote table. This toggle is located at the bottom of the General Settings section.
MULTIPLE CHOICE ITEMS:
You can mark items as multiple choice if you want your customer to choose only one item out of a set of items. Use this for upsell for example or if you have PLAN A, PLAN B, and PLAN C and you want your customer to only choose one.
All multiple choice items have to be in the same section. You make all of the items in a section multiple choice by selecting Make Items Multiple Choice in the three dot menu for the section.
Multiple choice items will have a radio button displayed beside the name instead of a checkbox that is for optional items.
There will always need to be a default selection for multiple choice items. You can pre-select this default in the quote editor by clicking the radio button beside the item you want to be the default choice. The customer will be able to change this selection on the proposal viewer. Multiple choice items will be displayed similar to optional items, except with radio buttons instead of checkboxes. Green filled radio buttons indicate the line item is selected and orange empty radio buttons indicate the item is unselected. The total column for unselected items will display a dash and the total for the line item will not be counted towards the proposal total.
MULTIPLE CHOICE SECTIONS:
You can make all sections on a quote table multiple choice by toggling on the "Make All Sections Multiple Choice" setting in the general quote settings.
MULTIPLE CHOICE QUOTE TABLES:
You can make all of the quote tables in a proposal as multiple choice (customer has to choose only one of the quote tables) by toggling on the Make All Quote Tables Multiple Choice setting in Proposal Settings and selecting a Default Quote Table.
NESTING OPTIONAL AND MULTIPLE CHOICE ITEMS AND SECTIONS:
You can have nested optional and multiple choice items and sections in a quote table. For instance, you can have optional sections that have optional items or you can have multiple choice sections with multiple choice items. The optional or multiple choice items/sections within a section or quote table will not be editable until that section or quote table is selected.
For configured items, you can designate child products as optional or multiple choice. Child products inherit the setting of the parent.
CUSTOMER EDITABLE QTY:
You can make the QTY of any line item editable by the customer by clicking the three dot menu at then right side of the line item on the quote editor and selecting "Make Qty Editable". You can undo this by clicking Undo Qty Editable.
When you make Qty Editable for a line item, the contact specified in the proposal settings can edit the qty of the line item on the proposal viewer and pricing will change accordingly. The editable qty input box will be highlighted in orange on the proposal viewer
